Taproom Reservations, Bookings & Events

Thank you for your interest in booking your function at our taproom!
This page outlines our capabilities, some key timelines and a booking request form.

Location and Hours of operation:
2265 Robertson Road, Bells Corners
Taproom and Retail store
11am to 9pm - 7 days per week (11am to 6pm stat holidays, closed Christmas Day)

General Information

  • Parking is available on a first come first serve basis (approx 25 spaces), overflow parking in an adjacent lot can be pre-arranged (another 30-40 spaces) with a minimum of 7 days notice and subject to availability. Both lots are gated and locked outside of business hours (1h after last call).
  • Bus route 88 stops directly in front of the building and routes 97 and 252 stop less than 250m from our driveway (at Westcliffe and Robertson).
  • The trans-canada trail passes directly behind the building making it accessible on foot, bike or skis from Kanata/Stittville to the west or Crystal Bay/Britannia to the east.
  • We are wheelchair accessible via an entry ramp directly in to the taproom, or at ground level for the washrooms and brewery (for tours).
  • We encourage ALL guests consuming alcohol to arrange safe transportation home; a vehicle list is available at the bar if you’re leaving your car overnight; we can arrange a time outside of operational hours for you to pick it up.

Reservations

  • All bookings are subject to availability; walk-in seating is on a first come first serve basis and can not be held for guests not on site; we are a bar service establishment and therefore can not book bar seating.
  • General reservations are taken up to 30 days in advance at our Brewmaster’s table in 2 hour blocks for groups between 8 and 18 people 7 days per week (last booking taken at 7pm).
  • Group bookings of 19 to 30 people (up to 25 seats with some standing space) are available from 11am to 5pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 3pm Fridays and Saturdays for up to 3 hours.
  • Large functions (more than 40 people) can be booked more than 30 days in advance from Sunday to Thursday. An event contract will be created and will outline all pertinent booking details.
  • The taproom is one large room meaning smaller bookings will be assigned tables/seating, other areas will be made available for other groups and/or walk in guests. Groups larger than 40 people may be required to book the taproom exclusively depending on event needs.

Capacity

  • Seated up to 60 (6 tables of 10 for meeting/dinner service), up to 90 (with rented chairs, row seating with no tables)
  • Mixed (some seating, some standing) up to 110
  • Standing room only, up to 130

Special Event Permits

  • Our license only allows us to serve the beer we make on site until 9pm. A special occasion permit can be purchased to provide other products (wine, coolers, liquor) and/or extend last call until midnight* for a $250 non-refundable fee. The AGCO requires a minimum of 30 days notice of application for this type of licensing.
*applies only to alcoholic options, all signs of service must be cleared within 45 minutes of last call.

Cover charge/fundraising

  • We welcome groups that wish to host fundraising events in our space but require that the taproom remain a welcoming space to all walk in guests. No general entry fee can be charged unless the taproom is booked exclusively. Any other form of ticket, participation cost, financial charge or donation must be approved by taproom management at least 7 days prior to the event date.
  • All charges collected must go directly to a registered charity, community organization, social group for the purpose of funding a project or the organization as a whole (not directly paying staff for organizing the event or for individual profit), or be part of an ‘experience charge’ supplementing the cost of entertainment, food/drink tickets or brewery tours.

Food service

  • The taproom does not operate a kitchen/cooking space in the building. Food provided is brought in from local suppliers for regular service and is subject to availability. We welcome you to pre-order items from our posted menu no later than 24h prior to the event (48h for stat holidays). Plating and service ware is for items offered from our menu.
  • We work with a number of great caterers for larger events or special requests; Scotty’s Corner Diner, Good Eats, and Zola’s are our preferred partners and can be contacted directly for catering requests.
  • Any other outside food or beverage must be approved by taproom management no later than 7 days prior to the event date and may be subject to service fees.
  • Absolutely no outside alcohol (beer, wine or spirit) is allowed on site without pre-arranged licensing and written taproom management approval.
  • If you require 3rd party services other than our preferred partners (caterers, musicians, etc.) they will need to arrange a site visit to review the services required/provided in the taproom. More information for this will be reviewed as part of your event contract.

Booking fee structure

  • There is no charge for general reservations (up to 18 people).
  • Group bookings of 19 to 30 people are encouraged to pre-order food and may have a minimum spend of up to $12/guest assigned. If the combined total of all guest bills is less than the minimum, a rental fee will be charged to the organizer/contact to make up the difference in actual vs. contracted spend.
  • Large functions are charged either a staffing cost plus pre-arranged drink tickets (host bill), or a minimum spend (for cash bar) depending on the length of booking and event requirements.
  • Events with a booking contract will stipulate a credit card hold or deposit; all other bookings (general reservation or group booking) are considered forfeited 30 minutes after the reserved time, meaning all available/remaining seating is made available to walk in traffic.
  • A credit card must be provided to open a tab at the bar, any individual bill over $100 may be charged a gratuity of 18%.
